New Facilities

                  LED Wall

The freshly installed high-definition display LED wall at the
School Hall is proving itself to be a valuable asset at St. Mark’s.
As a versatile tool of teaching and learning, the LED wall
serves various purposes, such as a digital backdrop for drama
performances and a presentation tool for Hall Assemblies,
Opening Service, Inauguration Ceremony, and many other
occasions. Not only does it enrich students’ learning experience,
the LED wall also facilitates teachers’ professional development as
the data visualization tool and the digital workspace for teaching
demonstrations. Teachers are able to share teaching strategies
and conduct training workshops more effectively with the
          improvement of the display equipment.

                  Printing Service

What tops the list of teaching essentials? Printers built to a high specification definitely come to mind. With
the installation of two new printers in the staff room, teaching effectiveness and efficiency have been greatly
enhanced. Teachers can now have their teaching materials ready in split seconds and pedagogical resources
at their fingertips with the high-speed printers that come along with great functions.

                  Mindfulness Room (202)

In the 2019-2020 school year, St. Mark’s School participated in
the Jockey Club “Peace and Awareness” Mindfulness Culture in
Schools Initiative, which lasts for three years. Teachers have been
nominated to attend the foundation training in mindfulness,
and 15 of them will be delivering the .b mindfulness course to
students. With the subsidy from the Hong Kong Jockey Club
Charities Trust, one classroom has been renovated in order to
create a space for teachers and students to practise mindfulness.
The venue will also be available for training sessions organized
by the University of Hong Kong to introduce mindfulness to the
          community.

Renovation work of the mindfulness classroom was completed in
September 2020. It is expected that the mindfulness culture can
further be propagated so that more teachers and educators can
learn about mindfulness, and live in the present moment.
