                   e engaged in research regarding the credibility of online news during IM2C 2020 held
            Win November 2019 and aimed to deliver a competent mathematical model to assess the
              authenticity of online news through our project. For instance, we dived deeply into analyzing
              various news sources on the Internet and developed a wide array of indicators like the reputation
              of the websites and the objectivity of the content. During the whole course of the project, we
              established a greater and broader understanding of the situation of the domination of false news on
              the Internet and took a shot at inventing a mathematical model, which we had never done in the
              past.

 Hong Kong Mathematics Olympiad  ur team aimed to design a smart water data analysis

              Omodel by observing given data patterns in the differences
              between water input and output flow using flow meters and
              detecting the abnormalities. We adopted several approaches
              to analyzing the data patterns by observing the slope in linear
              regression and using graph standardization. I was amazed by
              the utility of mathematical application, especially the relevant
              concepts of optimization and linear regression. It is believed
              that the serious problem of water leakage faced by the public
              can be tackled in the future by warning the Water Supplies
              Department and the public of the abnormal water flow and
              thus preventing potential leaks from turning into a serious
              water leakage problem.
