JOINT-SCHOOL SCIENCE EXHIBITION
How does it work?
Kam Lok Hang (6A, 2020-2021)
After joining JSSE, I gained knowledge about
using Arduino Uno to achieve goals such as
pumping water. Originally, I did not know
much about the arduino programming and I
learnt to use it by watching tutorial videos. I
became more focused on the tasks as different
programmes made by different members would
be combined. This experience completely
changed my thoughts about learning as self-
learning is a paramount process in our learning
when we meet something that we do not know.
Collaboration with people is important and
this experience definitely strengthened my
cooperation with the team.
Wong Ka Yin (6B, 2020-2021)
The JSSE is a large project and I learnt a lot.
Before I joined this competition, I was not
familiar with the programmes of Arduino. My
knowledge was broadened when I studied the
functions of the programme with the help of our
teachers and by watching tutorial videos on the
Internet. It was a brand new experience to invent
a product by ourselves. In the competition, we
made much effort in designing the product to
help the workers to pay attention to their health
conditions in an efficient and comfortable way.
Although we had to complete the proposal in
the pandemic and social distancing measures, it
was pleasing that we developed a strong sense
of commitment. This helped improve our ideas
and decisions. I would like to thank my team
members for their great work.
