Our School String Orchestra and School Band have entranced the audience with their melodious strings and resonant woodwinds, and brought home the Silver Award in their respective categories in the 2022 Hong Kong Youth Music Interflow, which demonstrates the sterling, shimmering musical talent of St. Markans.
Under the meticulous guidance of their instructors and our dedicated teacher advisor, Ms. A. Wong, the School String Orchestra delivered a virtuoso performance of Divertimento in F Major, K. 138, with its emblematic fast-slow-fast sequence. The School Band, too, thrilled the audience with its wondrous rendition of Robert Sheldon’s Appalachian Morning and selections from Lin-Manuel Miranda’s Encanto (arr. Paul Martha).
Their triumph in the 2022 Hong Kong Youth Music Interflow is a solid testament to the exceptional standard of St. Mark’s diverse music programme. Congratulations!
