We are more than exhilarated to witness the stellar achievement made by our exemplary alumnus, CHAN Wai Nok Brian (Class of 2019), in a pivotal medical study centering upon the role of serine/threonine kinase 3 in gastric carcinogenesis. He is a current Year 3 student reading the prestigious Medicine (MBChB) Programme Global Physician-Leadership Stream (GPS) at the Chinese University of Hong Kong, with his perfect scores in the 2019 Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination.
With the concerted effort of his research comrades and careful guidance of a seasoned mentor, Professor TO Ka Fai, the Chairman of the Department of Anatomical and Cellular Pathology in the Faculty of Medicine, they have unveiled a striking correlation between serine/threonine kinase 3 and the progression of gastric tumour, contributing the therapeutic development of patients afflicted by gastric cancer in the foreseeable future.
Kudos to Brian’s undying dedication to the advancement of medical technology and treatment!
