Athletics embodies the spirit of resilience, where every leap, stride, and vault becomes a symbol of strength and determination. It is an arduous yet awe-inspiring journey that not only tests the limits of physical endurance but also unlocks the potential of heart and willpower, shaping young athletes into leaders and champions of tomorrow.

We are incredibly proud to announce that our student, Lau Yan Yuet, Maisy (Class of 2024) has been awarded the prestigious 2024 Multi-faceted Excellence Scholarship in recognition of her extraordinary athletic prowess. As the former captain of the Athletics Team, Maisy has consistently exemplified selfless leadership, fervent passion, and unwavering dedication. She has inspired our younger St. Markans both on and off the field with her phenomenal achievements.

Most notably, her record-breaking performance in the Women’s U18 Pole Vault has set a new benchmark for vivacious athletes across the city. Her spectacular feat, along with securing the gold medal in the Hong Kong City Athletics Championships 2023, has cemented her status as one of Hong Kong’s brightest sporting talents.

Her pursuit of excellence, both in sports and academics, reflects the core values of St. Mark’s School, which is to be ‘Straightway’ to our aspirations. We look forward to her continued triumphs as she reaches even greater heights.
