It is with profound admiration that we celebrate our esteemed alumnus, Professor Hoi Chun PO, whose recent receipt of the prestigious 2024 Asian Young Scientist Fellows Award exemplifies the pinnacle to which our students can soar. Now serving as the Hari Harilela Assistant Professor of Physics at The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, Professor PO’s journey from his days at St. Mark’s speaks to his tireless pursuit of knowledge and excellence. A former Head Prefect, PO was lauded for his self-discipline, visionary leadership, and outstanding academic accomplishments, achieving perfect scores in both the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination and the Hong Kong Advanced Level Examination.
His illustrious success inspires our current and future St. Markans to embrace their journeys with the same passion, integrity, and commitment to creating a brighter future for all with the defining spirit of ‘Straightway’. Congratulations!
