Language is both thread and pattern used to construct identity, preserve heritage, and articulate the inexpressible with precision. Within this timeless realm of words and stories, FU Pui Yan Chloe, a graduate of the Class of 2024, has discovered her calling. Now reading Chinese Language and Literature at the Chinese University of Hong Kong, Chloe continues to delve into the rich literary heritage and evolving expressions of Chinese thought, finding sublime beauty not just in language, but in its boundless potential to connect, to preserve, and to inspire.
Her unyielding love for reading, nurtured over years of devoted scholarship, has never been hindered by the challenge of her hearing difficulties. Instead, it sharpened her sensitivity to the written word, deepening her appreciation for the nuanced rhythms and cultural resonance found in literature. As a former Assistant Head Librarian, Chloe was a championed a culture of reading and reflection among her peers.
Her insatiable appetite for knowledge and perseverance in the face of adversity have earned her the prestigious TWGHs 154th Anniversary Scholarship, awarded to students of outstanding academic merit and character strength.
