2023 World Jump Rope Championships
Hip, hop, and jump to new heights! St. Mark’s School is blessed to have two vivacious, budding athletes, Ison LEE (4E) and Emily SHUM (6A) representing Hong Kong to showcase their incredible mastery of rope skipping in the 2023 World Jump Rope Championships held in Colorado Springs, the United States. Their stunning performances in various divisions earned them well-deserved recognition from the audience worldwide.
In the highly competitive 12-15 Mixed Division (Double Dutch Speed Relay), Ison LEE and his roping comrades stood out with his dazzling display of precision and lightning speed in every jump, twist and turn, captivating the adjudicators and bringing home 1st Runner-up for Hong Kong.
Another standout athlete, Emily ventured into the 16-18 Female Division (Team All-Around). The team fearlessly redefined the conventions of rope skipping and gracefully soared through the air with their gravity-defying techniques. Their sheer athleticism and artistry left the audience in awe, and enabled them to secure the accolade of 2nd Runner-up!
Once again, our heartfelt congratulations to Ison and Emily on their illustrious achievements, which not only brought immeasurable pride to the community of St. Mark’s but also Hong Kong as a whole!
